Contenuti: The course is composed by 3 modules for a total of 12 lessons.

Conoscenze richieste: The purpose of this course is to make industry, the public, the research community, and other stakeholders knowledgeable of the activity performed by TC184/SC – ISO Technical Committee Industrial automation systems and integration, Subcommittee 4, Industrial data (TC184/SC4). This course has been promoted in the framework of a special Committee on Education & Outreach of ISO TC 184/SC4 and , is based both on official ISO TC 184/SC4 documents and on the tutorials that the secretariat Jerry Smith organizes at the beginning of each SC4 meeting. The course is also enriched with the contribution of numerous experts of the SC4 community. Objectives are: to provide newcomers of the basic information on the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the role of ISO TC 184 SC4 to provide the newcomers with the capability to be proactive in the standards development process. to provide all the information needed in order to participate to the right Working Group to contribute to the development of SC4 standards. A chi è rivolto: Product designers, software developers can obtain a basic background knowledge of the main standards which have been developed or are under development. This knowledge is essential to: -participate to the SC4 meetings without loss of energy and time to understand the complex architecture -to develop new standards conform to the already developed standards -to develop software conforming to the existing standards The course is also useful for executive managers of big enterprises who need to decide on the software purchasing strategy to be adopted in the company. SC4 and Newcomers
