Obiettivo formativo:
The goal of the course is to provide an introduction on technical and normative aspects related to Gas absorption heat pumps, in order to transfer knowledge, skills and competences for a proper design and installation of these systems. The course is focused mainly on the application of gas absorption heat pumps, but information on other technologies related to heat pumps are also included, in order to give a complete overview of the sector.

Contenuti:
Thanks to the modal approach used, the structure of the course was planned for different users, taking into account the goal and based on learners’ needs. The structure of the course is organized on 10 Modules: Module 1: The European Directives on the buildings’ energy efficiency and the promotion of the renewable sources Module 2: Energy and environment air-conditioning Module 3: Heat pumps types and working principles Module 4: Compression Heat Pumps Module 5: Absorption Heat Pumps technology: working principles, cycles and components Module 6: Geothermal absorption heat pumps Module 7: Plant layouts for GAHP Module 8: GAHP Installation and Commissioning Module 9: Technical, economical and environmental analysis Module 10: The GAHP market The course will contain a glossary that will help the users to better understand some of the more technical terms used in the course. A self evaluation test will be added at the end of each module in order to help the users in their knowledge acquisition.

The e-learning course "Gas Absorption Heat Pump" can be considered an important dissemination instrument in the framework of the general dissemination activities of the project HEAT4U. The e-learning course was realized by Mesos.

The target of the e-learning course “Gas absorption heat pump” is composed by experts such as designers and installers, as well as by people interested in this technology and customers. • Installers and maintainers, who would carry out the installing, and sometimes the planning of the system, they would be the customer’s first and often only contact person. In some cases, the installers are responsible for the heat pump system installation and are important messengers for the sustainability of the technology market. • Designers and people who already work in the field, but feel the need to update their competencies, adding knowledge on absorption heat pump technology. The e-learning course will also be used by people who for the first time approach to this technology, willing to learn more about heat pumps, or customers, who would know more about the technology, its advantages and eventually its limits, compare costs and energy-efficiency.
